A Journey of 1,000 Miles Begins With 1 Step.

Finally, it’s happened to me…

Right in front of my face, and I just cannot hide it. Ok, it happened to us, but we couldn’t change the lyrics of Mrs. CeCe Peniston’s classic song, “Finally“.

Anyway, today is the day we’ve dreamed about for years. It’s finally happened… we get to say… “WE’RE OPEN“! After testing a ton of products, working with a ton of manufacturers, trying to understand multiple languages (this post pretty much sums up our experience: 34 Google Translate Fails), we’ve finally taken that first step to fulfilling our vision as a company (we’ll get to that in a bit).

In all seriousness, the purpose of this post is to not just celebrate our first product launch, but to outline our vision as a company. And not just our vision, but our promise as a company, so you can be confident in us and really feel good about partnering with us on your Home Automation journey.

So, whether you’re brand new to Home Automation, or a level 10 Wizard (#respect), we’re here to help.

Our Vision

Picking the right stock photography for your vision can be challenging. How do you look up pictures that best articulate where you want to go as a company? Let us tell you how not to do it… go straight to Google Images and type, “Vision Meme” (fail).

Yeah… probably not going to work for properly articulating our vision. However, we did get a good 30 minutes of laughing at the randomness of the internet and you know what? It got us thinking. It got us thinking about the fact that someone out there made these memes to make people laugh. Someone took time out of their day to put an egg on a dudes face and wrote, “eggcellent”. And we loved it enough to put it in a technology blog.

How does this relate to our vision? Well, we believe that people’s lives are so structured and task oriented now, there’s literally no time to stop and relax and clear your mind. Life’s become so robotic and repetitive. From the moment we wake up to the time we lay our head on our pillows, the average adult makes 35,000 decisions. Thirty-five thousand! But it’s these little breaks in our day when we can exit reality and look at someone putting an egg on their face and laugh at the juvenile play on words. Talk about a good yoke.

So What Do We Believe?

We believe lives should be simpler.

Imagine a world with less meaningless tasks, less time spent on meaningless decisions, and an increase in time spent doing what you love. We believe Home Automation is the key to a happier, healthier, less tasked world. Let the robots do the work.

So, that leads us to our vision.

Home Automation in EVERY household in the United States by 2025.

It’s time to let your house or apartment put a dent in your 35,000 decisions, so you can put some time into what you want to do.

So, without further adieu, here’s our inspirational vision picture. It may not be eggcelent, but it sure is inspirational. Let’s make the world a simpler place, one smart home product at a time.

Inovelli's Vision and Journey

Our First Smart Home Product

There’s nothing quite like working hard at something… working on sheer faith in that your something will some day come to fruition. We remember the first time we came across our smart plugs, we remember thinking, “these are going to be game-changers”. Sure, there are others out in the market that work great. What is going to separate these from those? After-all, we are competing against established brands (heck, one was even founded by Thomas Edison) how could we get people to trust us?

First Shipment of our 2-Channel Smart PlugIt was our love of Home Automation and our passion for talking to others about it that inspired us to take on the task of getting the best smart products into the hands of as many people as possible for the lowest price OR a differentiated offer.

We ran across the 2-Channel Smart Plug mistakenly. We remember seeing a product list and saw, “2-Channel” on it and thought, “what in the world is a 2-Channel smart plug”. A few email exchanges of broken English later, we realized it meant that the smart plug could control two separate devices from the same plug. A quick internet search lead us to find that there was currently nothing like this on the market. SCORE! And more importantly… what a cool product!

Fast forward 8 months and many, many hours of testing across multiple platforms later, the above came in the mail on 10/11/16… a day that we will always remember. Our dream of owning and operating a Home Automation company finally came to fruition. #gametime

Our Promise

Wrapping up our first blog post (we promise, our blog will get better in time) we just wanted to say thanks. Thanks for using one of your 35,000 decisions to read this blog post. Thanks for supporting a local US business who is undoubtedly as passionate about Home Automation as you are. Finally, thanks for being you. After-all, you are what makes the world simpler by adapting Home Automation technology.

Our promise to you is the following.

We promise to always offer products that integrate with other brands and products, regardless of if they are sold by us. We promise will offer products that our family uses in their own houses. Finally, we promise to offer these products at a price that’s fair and affordable without compromising your safety and user experience.

Thank you again for reading and if you have any questions, concerns or ideas, please feel free to reach out. We’d love to hear from you!
